(Fremont, CA) — The first high-performance, high-cost electric
sedans from Tesla are being delivered today. People who laid out
100-thousand dollars for the Model S will pick up their cars at the
Tesla plant east of San Francisco. The Model S goes from zero to
60-miles-an-hour in six seconds and has a range of 265 miles before it
needs to be re-charged. A 50-thousand-dollar version of the Model S
is due this fall. The company plans to have a small SUV ready to go
on sale in 2014.
